Formed in Bellevue, Washington in 1982 by guitarist Michael Wilton and bassist Eddie Jackson, QUEENSRŸCHE quickly rose to prominence as one of progressive metal’s most innovative and cerebral forces. Known for their intelligent lyrics, ambitious compositions, and cinematic staging, the band set themselves apart early with their self-titled 1984 EP and genre-defining early albums like ‘The Warning’ (1984) and ‘Rage for Order’ (1986).
Their landmark concept album ‘Operation: Mindcrime’ (1988) and the multi-platinum ‘Empire’ (1990) solidified QUEENSRŸCHE as pioneers in the genre, balancing melodic sensibility with complex, thought-provoking themes. Tracks like “Silent Lucidity” earned Grammy nominations and mainstream acclaim, while their stage shows pushed visual boundaries well ahead of their time.
Despite lineup changes and industry challenges over the decades, QUEENSRŸCHE has remained steadfast in their creative vision. Since vocalist Todd LaTorre joined in 2012, the band has experienced a powerful resurgence, releasing a trio of critically acclaimed albums— ‘QUEENSRŸCHE’ (2013), ‘Condition Human’ (2015), and ‘The Verdict’ (2019)— that honor their roots while evolving their sound.
Their latest album, ‘Digital Noise Alliance’ (2022), marks the band’s 16th studio release and exemplifies the enduring essence of QUEENSRŸCHE: forward-thinking, emotionally resonant, and sonically bold. Crafted with longtime producer Zeuss, the album merges classic tones from the band’s early years with modern intensity, reaffirming their legacy as “the thinking man’s metal band.”
With over 20 million albums sold worldwide, QUEENSRŸCHE continues to influence generations of hard rock and metal artists, staying true to their ethos of blending passion, intellect, and powerful storytelling in everything they do.
QUEENSRŸCHE are:
Eddie Jackson – Bass
Michael Wilton – Guitar
Todd La Torre – Vocals
Casey Grillo – Drums
Mike Stone – Guitar
